Mountain Biking F.A.Q.

I don’t have a bike, can I still come?

Yes! We have a bike for you!

What about helmets?

Got ‘em.

Gloves? Water bottle?

Yes and yes.
**not provided during COVID-19

So what do I have to bring?

Nothing but a positive attitude.

Can I bring my own bike? Is there a discount?

Yes you can.  However, please ensure your bike is suitable for the trail and that it is well-tuned and in good working condition, especially the brakes.  For our off road trails you need a mountain bike, with disc brakes for Glen Major.  For the Ghost Rider or other paved or urban rides, a hybrid will do.  If you are bringing your own bike, contact us to ask about the discount.

Where do we meet?

Please arrive at the designated meetup point.  Ensure that you arrive on time.  Out of courtesy to the rest of our adventurers we cannot delay the start of our ride by more than a few minutes.

What if it rains?

Newsflash: humans are waterproof. We ride come rain or shine.  All of our bikes are equipped with advanced all-wheel disc brakes that give you awesome stopping power no matter what the weather is.  In fact, some of our most memorable rides have been in the rain.

I’m scared.

That's not a question.

What if I fall?

Get up and get back on your bike.  Or... lay still and the other bikers will roll over you like a log and chipmunks will greet you.

What if I damage the bike?

You get a bent wheel as a souvenir.  And we deduct the cost from your deposit.  Don't worry too much though.  Our bikes are solid and you would literally have to throw them off the top of a mountain to do any serious harm.  As long as you're not an idiot, you won't hurt yourself or the bike.

How safe is this?

Every outdoor activity has an element of risk.  Our rides are very safe and expertly guided.  Every rider must participate in a mandatory safety orientation and wear protective gear throughout the ride.  Our guides are trained in safety and certified in first aid.  As long as you ride responsibly and follow your guide you will be fine.

Will I die?

Only if you are allergic to chipmunks.
